About Piso WiFi Pauses

Piso WiFi Pauses is a free, independent guide site about coin-operated Piso WiFi in the Philippines. We explain how to pause and resume your time, open the 10.0.0.1 portal, and fix the settings that get in the way on phones, laptops and browsers.

Why this site exists

The timer didn't wait for dinner.

I dropped a coin into a Piso WiFi vendo, sat down to eat, and came back to an empty countdown. My phone was still connected. The minutes I'd paid for just kept running while I was away.

I knew the 10.0.0.1 portal could freeze the timer. I didn't know how. So I searched, and found guides buried in jargon, sketchy apps promising free minutes, and people stuck typing 10.0.0.0.1, an address that opens nothing. Vendo owners asking how to switch pause on in their admin panel weren't getting clear answers either.

That's why I started Piso WiFi Pauses. Every guide here comes from network documentation, router manuals and the vendors' own pages, rewritten in plain words. There are no apps to install and no shortcuts that don't work.

One honest note: pause only works when the vendo owner turns it on. So I write for both sides of the machine.

Whether you run the vendo or just pay for the minutes, you're the one with the coin in your hand. My job is to make sure you know exactly where your time goes, and how to keep it.

Who writes the guides

Salman, founder and writer of Piso WiFi Pauses

Salman founded Piso WiFi Pauses and writes every guide on it. The site sticks to one subject: the captive portal a Piso WiFi vendo serves at 10.0.0.1, how to log in, pause and resume your time from a phone or laptop, and, for owners, the admin page behind it.

Each guide starts from primary sources. That means the firmware makers' own manuals and READMEs (JuanFi, PisoFi, LPB), TP-Link Philippines' Piso WiFi articles, Android and Apple support pages on captive Wi-Fi and private Wi-Fi addresses, the browser makers' help pages, and RFC 1918, the standard that sets 10.0.0.1 aside for private networks. Every guide lists its sources at the end.

He isn't paid by any vendo maker, firmware company or internet provider. If a setting is only the owner's to change, or an app isn't official, the guide says so plainly.

Our editorial standards

We check every guide against public documentation before it goes live. These are the rules we follow:

  1. Every fact has a source. We use vendor, router-maker and browser-maker help pages, standards documents and named news reports. Each guide ends with a Sources list linking to them.
  2. No invented numbers. Rates, prices and time limits appear only when a source publishes them. Our time calculator uses the rate you type in, not a made-up one.
  3. No default passwords. We never publish admin passwords, even when other sites do.
  4. Our own pictures. Screens and diagrams are illustrations we make ourselves and label as such. We don't copy vendor or competitor screenshots.
  5. Honest dates. The "Updated" date changes only when the content changes.

We haven't tested every vendo brand and firmware version by hand, and we say so. Button names and menus differ between machines, so our guides describe the common 10.0.0.1 flow and point out where yours can look different.

How the site is funded

The guides are free to read. We plan to cover hosting costs with Google AdSense ads. No vendo maker, firmware company or internet provider pays us, and none of them reviews a guide before we publish it. Read the independent-site disclaimer for the full details.
